What is a diverter valve?
Typically, a diverter valve simply diverts the flow of the water from the faucet to the shower head. A diverter valve also helps to divert the hot and cold water.
Now, there’s definitely the way of choosing a diverter valve based on the design. But there are a few logical reasons as well, for choosing the right diverter valve.
1. There are majorly three types of diverter for bathrooms. The regular, the hi-flow and the 3-inlet.
The regular diverter valve for your bathroom fitting is the easiest one to operate. The hi-flow diverters are made by forged processes which makes it the best in quality. The 3-inlet diverter is also made by forged processes and as the name defines, quite literally, there are three inlets for three types of water – hot, cold and fresh.
2. The water pressure in your bathroom should also be taken into consideration when you are choosing a diverter shower kit.
The regular diverter valve can take a high pressure, whereas the hi-flow is meant for water connection with low pressure, and the 3-inlet diverter valves are more delicate.
3.
