There is a general perception that the leakage of the faucet is a problem with the cartridge. Instead, if it is used properly, the cartridge is not easy to cause problems. Therefore, it should be analyzed accordingly from different factors, if the faucet has leakage.

【 1 】— The new faucet will drip when it is closed

There will be dripping for a very short period of time after closing the new faucet. In such cases, it will automatically be assume that the problem lay inside the new faucet spool. In fact, a short period of the dripping after the new faucet is closed caused by the residual water inside it, which has no problem. But if the faucet dripping for a longer period of time than expected, then it’s a real leakage.

【 2 】—Loosen or worn out O-ring, Gaskets or other seals

O-rings and gaskets are also called seals. They are used to seal gaps between the cartridge gaps between pipe and body faucets and other internal parts. If the faucet is new, the seals may not be connected properly. Check the parts and adjust them. There is a solution for the problem had the faucet was used for a long period of time, O-rings will eventually wear out or damaged. Cartridge cover can be removed and seals also can be checked whether there is a need to replace it or not.

【 3 】— Cartridge scratches

During the use of the valve core, the wear external hard material causes the scratches. For example, when the water supply pipe is re-circulated after rupture, the water may contain rust or sand particles, which may cause the surface of the valve core to be scratched during the opening and closing process. Then it leads to the leakage. Therefore, ensure that there should be no impurities in the water pipe while installing the faucet.

【 4 】—Poor water quality Or Water pressure

Generally, people get confused on, what is the relationship between poor water quality and leaking water? In fact, the garbage in the valve core will be caused by poor water quality. Which will easily cause the valve core to be closed tightly? Also unstable water pressure could cause dripping.
