Every season brings along the beauty of its own. Summer brings in brightness to our lives and winter feels like the season of love. Monsoon brings along the beauty of drizzle and spares us all from the season of scorching heat. But it is as difficult to keep your house clean and hygienic during the Monsoon season.

In an alternate situation – Monsoon, smell, moisture, dampness… torture? If that’s how you also feel in the monsoon season, then we have good news for you. Follow these simple hacks to keep your washroom fresh and refreshing!

Keep the Mats Dry
Bathroom mats are always the dirtiest because when you come back from outside, it is the bathroom where you go first. Bathroom mats also get wet once you step out after taking a shower. Naturally, it smells. So, during the monsoon, replace your cloth mat with a plastic or a rubber mat which is water absorbent and easily dries up.

Keep Your Washroom Damp-free
The walls of your washroom tend to be damp from the accumulated moisture. Maintain a daily routine of cleaning the walls and bathroom fittings. Clean your washrooms with disinfectant and spray room freshener afterwards.

Keep Your Washroom Safe
Due to regular or heavy rainfall, sometimes you would notice seepage on the walls or ceiling. It is advisable that every monsoon, you check all the electrical sockets and wiring within the walls to maintain safety for you and your family.

Keep Your Washroom Bug-free
Have a mesh or netted cover on your bathroom windows so that entry of unwanted insects and bugs during the monsoon is strictly barred and bathroom hygiene is maintained.

Keep Your Washroom Well Ventilated
You will have to keep a check from time to time. If the washroom is smelling or there’s moisture accumulated, or even after every use of the washroom, keep the exhaust on for some time and open the doors & windows for ventilation.

Keep Your Dirty Clothes Out
Try to avoid keeping your used and wet clothes in the washroom on the hook or on the towel rack. It doesn’t just add to the moisture but also starts smelling.

Keep the Bathroom Drawers Fresh
Bathroom drawers or shelves can also smell due to the dust and moisture accumulated in the corners. Use naphthalene or camphor and make these corners smell fresh. Naphthalene and camphor also absorb moisture. You can even place a plant for bringing in some freshness in your bathroom.

We’re sure. That this monsoon, even your washroom will stay fresh and fine.
